Hiring Unit: Department of Statistics, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU).

Position: Full-time Research Assistant (1 position).

Salary: Full-time research assistant salary will be determined according to the NCKU project staff salary standards:

• Master’s degree: starting from NT$40,500/month
• Bachelor’s degree: starting from NT$35,775/month

Start Date: Expected to start on September 1, 2024.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or master’s degree in Applied Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science or related fields from domestic or foreign institutions.
• Basic requirements:
  • Proficiency in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Preferably planning for further studies. Exceptional performance may lead to flexible salary adjustments.

Job Description:

• Research topics related to experimental design, optimal design, and optimization methods.
• Writing and publishing research papers, programming and computer simulations, and participating in international conferences.
• Handling ad-hoc tasks.

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with a 1-hour lunch break.

Work Location: Department of Statistics, National Cheng Kung University, No. 1, University Road, East District, Tainan City.

Benefits: In accordance with NCKU standards, annual bonus of 1.5 months (calculated proportionally to the date of employment).
